Nathan Stevenson - Principal, Founding Partner

Nathan Stevenson brings together the expertise and strength of an international network of world-renowned film industry participants with the experience and risk management capabilities developed through a career in investment banking and world-leading hedge funds. He is currently involved in structuring funding for a pipeline of high quality motion pictures.

Stevenson used his presidency at the second-largest society of his alma mater to launch his first venture, an event management firm called 'Strutt Productions'. By focusing the brightest minds in Business School on 'Strutt Productions' and using the firm as a test bed for marketing, finance and business strategy projects, he saw a rapid rise to success. Voted "Best Night Out, South Africa" by GQ Magazine, four years running - his events attracted the patronage of the rich and famous.

A move to London saw Stevenson join the world of international finance managing billion-dollar plus global budgets at the French investment bank, BNP Paribas then moving to one of Europe’s largest and most respected hedge funds - Belgravia, London based CQS Management. CQS is routinely consulted by the UK Treasury and the EU on policy matters. CQS Management is an alternative investment manager with $6.6 billion under management with operations in London, Switzerland, Hong Kong and the Cayman Islands.

All the while, Stevenson invested in his passion for cinema. Having studied film production, directing, cinematography and financing, he consulted on the launch of a London-based film development fund whose partners have a combined 25 years’ experience in film and an 8-in-10 track record of picking successful development properties. When the global recession peaked he took an opportunity to leave the world of derivatives to launch his next independent venture - Strutt Film.

Involved with the British Film Institute over the course of the London Film Festival and then participating as an industry representative of Strutt Film at the Sundance Film Festival, Stevenson built a solid network of relationships with directors, producers and actors from the US, UK, Germany, France, Denmark, South Africa and India. This was soon followed by trips to establish and grow operations in LA, New York, London and Cape Town.

Now with a pipeline of product with exceptional commercial potential, access to multiple investment sources and trusted relationships with a global network of industry participants and advisors, Stevenson moves ahead with Strutt Film.
